2020. Heard many vision related jokes already. Promises to be a fun year. I don't know whether I'll keep up with last year's schedule of releases and videos, but we will see.
On January 12th, I am playing in Birmingham, just me and my trusty Taylor guitar, so that will be sort of Ancient Champion in disguise.
January 24th, sees the Champ's first single of 2020, 'A Song For Damian Marquez The Tailor'. It's already been chosen for a publishing project way later in the year. It's an upbeat and now piece and everyone should have their own tailor. Hopefully one as good as Damian Marquez. This will be the first Ancient Champion piece for Outsideleft's Original Sound Recordings series.
Late in January, a spoken word piece, Kingfisher will be available. I don't have a date for that yet, but I think it will be released as Jason and the Ancient Champion. The speaker, Jason, was actually named after Jason, from Jason and the Argonauts, so that's why. It also features amazing, layered guitar from Bearwood's Sonny Pine. Once we figured out the fridge was buzzing all over the kitchen recording sessions and switched it off, everything sounded great. More on this when I know...
